Fernando Wagner da Silva (Criatec II Head),
Fernando has a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with a co-supervision of IMPA (National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics). Fernando also holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the same school. His research projects developed at COPPE/UFRJ and IMPA were awarded by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and UNESCO.
Partner at Bozano Investimentos, Fernando has a great expertise in management, strategy and entrepreneurship. Appointed by the prestigious investments firms Opportunity and Rio Bravo, Fernando was an executive director at several venture capital companies, acting in the process of turnaround and sell-out. Fernando was responsible for the Internet coordination of the Rio de Janeiro bid to the 2004 Olympic Games.
As an investor, Fernando is registered at CVM and was an investment analyst and board member at Opportunity. He is also an angel investor in several companies in Brazil.
Fernando is an enthusiast on emerging technologies and innovation. He was CEO of BASEOi, the online gaming portal of the Telemar/Oi Group. He was also an advisor for aerospace, biotech and communications at Axia Ventures. Fernando was a board member at ABRAGAMES (Brazilian Game Companies Association) and executive manager at TecGames (game companies incubator at Genesis/PUC-Rio). Fernando was also invited by Finep to participate in the selection process of companies for the Subvenção Econômica funding programs.
Partner at Bozano Investimentos, 100% dedicated to the Education Ventures fund, Mr. Leao holds a BA in Economics from PUC-Rio, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Economics and Finance from the same institution. Before joining BR Investimentos in 2012, Mr. Leao worked at BTG Pactual with fund administration focused on FIDC funds (Brazilian receivables fund) and began his career working as a financial analyst at MDL Realty – the real estate arm of Banco Modal.
Moises is Partner at Bozano Investimentos. Before joining the group, was the founder and CEO of Warehouse Ventures and Pier18, Venture Capital fund with strong track record in Brazil and US.
Some of his most successful investments include ifood.com – one of the major VC deals in Brazil – and Magnopus, an Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality platform, based in Los Angeles, CA.
Before, Moises worked in Private Equity with 2+ Capital and Pampa Capital, focused in retail and agribusiness. Was also a consultant at McKinsey & Co, having worked in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, France and Luxembourg.
Is also a co-founder of the Grow2Impact accelerator from Ashoka Social Entrepreneurs.
Moises has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with majors in Entrepreneurship and Finance; holds a BA in Public Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV
Jonas is founder and partner of BR Investimentos. Jonas has a Ph.D. in Mathematics, was a leading researcher at IMPA and has an over 13 years experience in PE and VC.
Jonas was part of the team that founded the National Research Network (RNP) the project that deployed internet in Brazil. He was a Director at Opportunity, a pioneer Private Equity group in Brazil. He was President and Chief Investment Officer of Innovate, holding of the Opportunity Group focused VC investments in ICT companies. While at Innovate invested at APPI Tecnologia S/A, a innovative company which solution was included in the book “101 Top Brazilian Innovations” published by the Monitor Group.
Jonas has a great expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship related to the areas of Education, ICT, Media and Internet. He pioneered the Computer Graphics industry in Brazil as the Chief R&D Officer at Rede Globo, responsible for the development of the Computer Graphics animation system for the Globo Television.
Jonas founded the Visgraf Laboratory at IMPA (Brazilian Media Lab), and implemented the Masters, PhD and post-doctoral programs in the areas of Computer Graphics and Vision.
