Fernando Wagner da Silva (Criatec II Head),
Fernando has a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with a co-supervision of IMPA (National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics). Fernando also holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the same school. His research projects developed at COPPE/UFRJ and IMPA were awarded by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and UNESCO.
Partner at Bozano Investimentos, Fernando has a great expertise in management, strategy and entrepreneurship. Appointed by the prestigious investments firms Opportunity and Rio Bravo, Fernando was an executive director at several venture capital companies, acting in the process of turnaround and sell-out. Fernando was responsible for the Internet coordination of the Rio de Janeiro bid to the 2004 Olympic Games.
As an investor, Fernando is registered at CVM and was an investment analyst and board member at Opportunity. He is also an angel investor in several companies in Brazil.
Fernando is an enthusiast on emerging technologies and innovation. He was CEO of BASEOi, the online gaming portal of the Telemar/Oi Group. He was also an advisor for aerospace, biotech and communications at Axia Ventures. Fernando was a board member at ABRAGAMES (Brazilian Game Companies Association) and executive manager at TecGames (game companies incubator at Genesis/PUC-Rio). Fernando was also invited by Finep to participate in the selection process of companies for the Subvenção Econômica funding programs.
Alexandre Leão
Partner at Bozano Investimentos, 100% dedicated to the Education Ventures fund, Mr. Leao holds a BA in Economics from PUC-Rio, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Economics and Finance from the same institution. Before joining BR Investimentos in 2012, Mr. Leao worked at BTG Pactual with fund administration focused on FIDC funds (Brazilian receivables fund) and began his career working as a financial analyst at MDL Realty – the real estate arm of Banco Modal.
